Not sure what part of Dallas you live in. I was up that way on business two weeks ago and saw some in Pilot Point of all places at a employee owned grocery store but I can't recall the name of the store. They had sacks of them being unloaded at their loading dock. I was rather surprised to see that in such a small town. Guess people tell them how much they want and they order them in. It was a truck from Louisiana making the delivery.

Just one today, but would like to get a party together and need a few in the near future. I'd like to have a source for nearly every weekend. Crawfish in grocery stores here can be really small and sometimes not fresh. Could meet in Mesquite east of Dallas or anywhere nearby. Thanks.

Try Heads or Tails Crawfish. He's originally from Thibodeax now is located in the DFW area. He also has several all you can eat & drink events in the Dallas area for like $25 through out the season. Best boiled crawfish in the area. No sprinkle on his stuff.

We've used this guy for years. If you want to do it yourself and don't have the equipment, you can rent the burner and pot from him.

Heads or tails is legit

We get sacks from him twice a year and they are always great size and fresh. Look him up on Facebook.

Live? Captain daves in Plano have always done good for us. He flies them in.

Haven't tried heads or tails, but my FIL is good friends with Dave at captain daves so we've always used him. He hooks us up.

I didn't know if he meant live or boiled. The best boiled I've had are both on lower Greenville. The OG dodies and aw shucks.

Nothing wrong with Capt Daves but Heads or Tails Crawfish is just as good if not better and always will be cheaper than Capt Daves.

IMO Heads or Tails has the best boiled crawfish in town. You should check them out at there next all u can eat events in Dallas. He post several events throughout the year on his FB page. Looks like the next all u can eat is in Dallas at Oak Highlands Brewery Feb 25th for $25.

I'll have to try their boiled, we had aw shucks today and I take back what I said. The seasoning was so ridiculously over lemony. We'll be in New Orleans on the 25th though. I'll see when the next one is.

That place blows. Try Half Shells in Snider Plaza. I think they sprinkle on after boil but they are pretty good for Dallas.

Not Really, they have a long, narrow patio that almost like sitting inside.

Look up the LSU Dallas alumni event and contact the organizer. They do a big boil every year. You could contact the caterer and have then bring you a couple of sacks, maybe even selects.

Their caterer is Cajun Crawfish Co. in Lewisville......you can buy direct from them anytime.

They do a good job whether buying live or boiled.

The LSU alumni idea is a good one

For heads or tails, that guy is great. Mention TD or that you're from Louisiana and got his info from TD and you're golden. He does most of the huge boils around DFW and gets thousands of lbs most weekends.

most of the time he will just work out a deal with you and tell him to meet him at the location of the big boil that weekend and just sell you how many ever sacks you need from his allotment.

Like i said, we do a few boils a year and have so for the past 7-8 years and just started using him 2 years ago. It was night and day different from the size to quality, etc. even the casual Texan crawfish eaters could tell the difference.
