I think crawfish is flavorful enough without any dip and is not needed, prove me wrong.

What is this dip shite made of? What recipes can you share to change my mind. I will try whatever but crawfish I eat is flavorful. Explain…

I like the dip, but, I do not use the dip on crawfish. I really only use a little bit on potatoes, corn, brussels, etc.

I think most are a little heavier on mayo mixed with ketchup. Some black pepper/slap ya mamma. Maybe a little garlic power, worcestershire, lemon juice and horseradish.

Everyone will make the dip a little different but I think they all taste about the same.

As others have said, it's not really for the crawfish (for most people that I know at least).

Same topic. Every year. Do you need an explanation on how to use the search function on here?

Well, don't look for me to change your mind. I too don't understand some people's need to dip good boiled crawfish in some mayo/ketchup/horseradish/lemon dip.

My sister-in-law always makes a few bowls of her dip to put out on the table when we boil a few sacks every year and all I know is it is mayo and ketchup based, but I've never watched her make it since it doesn't interest me to find out.

Crawfish dip is for women and insecure men.

A few in my family just mix ketchup and mayo. Put some on a cracker with a piece of garlic and/or a few crawfish tails on it. Dip your potatoes in it. Personally, I don't use sauce at all. You can buy sauce now but it's more like a spicy mayo to me.

If you steam crawfish in beer, it’s nice to have some spicy mayo for a dip.

I would imagine you steam crawfish OVER beer, not IN beer since that would constitute boiling in beer.

Oh, and I'd not waste beer like that, or for that matter, any crawfish.

Beer steam is still beer.
