Craft beer in Denver

Looking to grab a few beers to take back from Denver.
What should I pick up from a brewery or off the shelf.
Also, will cans survive the flight back in checked luggage?

Turftoe and Jax and others can better answer what to get but never had an issue packing cans or bottles in luggage. use a hard case. Another option which I have done several times is pack in a fedex box and check it in as luggage.

Go to Platt Park Brewing Company and get their Madagascar Vanilla Cream Ale
FYI, if you're from a low altitude area (like below sea level), be very careful about drinking in Denver. The alcohol will all hit you at least 3 times harder than it does back home.

I never have any issues with cans surviving the flight. I normally just throw them in my back and check it.

New image has good stuff and is a fun place to visit. Can probably find some Weldwerks distro stuff around town. A lot of people like Cerebral, I don’t really care for them, but it’s a cool place to hang. Black project if you like sours.
Easily. Helps if you have the plastic holders still on to keep them organized

Thanks for the suggestions.

This. In addition, you'll find Odd 13 and 4 Noses for distro, and the breweries aren't too far away, but not in downtown Denver. If you hit up one of the Oskar Blues places, you might find some 10 Fidy variants for sale - if you like BBA stouts. Station 26 and Comrade make good beer, too.

Try the Graham Cracker Porter at Denver Beer..
Enjoy the Social D blaring on the speakers, and eat from the taco truck.

I still have dreams about that beer.....and nightmares about trying to Homebrew a clone.

Went with a bunch of cousins, and even the gals and non-beer types were very impressed with it as the standout of the samplings. I definitely went back to the counter for a few more.
They apparently can it now, wonder if Specs gets it?
Denver Beer's Citrus IPAs rock too.

Staying in Englewood Co. at Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Tech Center
Any tips on where to pick up some good beer to take home? I may have time for one brewery but I should have plenty of time to hit up a store or two.

Black Project was the highlight for me back in June.

I live in Englewood, so if you are looking for something close and trying to avoid downtown try here:
Littleton Liquor
They carry Weldwerks, New Image, Fiction and so many others. They also have a great bomber room.

Cool space, for sure, but I tend to agree about the beer. I've been twice and, for the most part, its hit-or-miss.

Thanks I'll check them out.
Looking at my map I'm close to Lukas Liquors Superstore.
Do they have a good selection?

Not sure if they still do, but Russian River distributes to Denver. You probably won't find any Pliny but you should be able to find some nice sours and wild ales from them.
