Not really! Mayo has egg yokes, neutral oil, some acid (lemon juice, vinegar or combo)

Fine, I misspelled it. But you don't have to use egg. Just use more garlic. There are versions of aioli that only garlic and oil and less like a may yo naze.

A great binder that adds great flavor is pureed shrimp. Just grind some up in a food processor. They are extremely sticky.
