The tasting room there was disappointing....as was the beer. I stopped in there about 3-4 weeks ago to grab a beer and see if there was anything interesting on tap. The beers I've tried there never stand out as exceptional or even enjoyable.
I always wanted that place to succeed. It had the vibe of walking into a garage home brewer on steroids. I never really found a beer that I would want to buy over another brand in their product line though.

I never visited the tap room but none of their beers ever jumped out at me.

Nola article said all the brewing equipment was sold.
They had an awesome location. Tons of events at the trailhead. They were never open at any of the ones I went to.

Going to turn into a restaurant. Not sure who bought it but that’s the plan.

If I remember correctly, they contract brewed for Zea on Veterans after they got rid of the on-site brewery.

Just about every brewery in LA will eventually turn into a restaurant.
Only Great Raft and Flying Tiger in North LA haven’t.
Stupid Louisiana laws. So far I’m okay with Flying Heart and Red River since their food is awesome.

What're the stupid laws besides a high corporate income tax rate and franchise taxes?

Just noticed that as I jogged past it this afternoon. Gnarly Barley Brewhouse in St. Tammany would be cool.

Or maybe another actual GOOD brewery in St. Tammany?! (Old Rail excluded)
