A couple up here are converting to microbreweries.

This should be the way to start, anyway. Develop a good local following and then expand.

I DC'd Covington a little over a year ago. Just wasn't moving. Hate to see local guys fail, but they just weren't very inventive or progressive.

Their brewery is in a good location in old town Covington but they did nothing with the space. It was a sad state of affairs - like Matlock on an old cathode ray tube in the tap room.

Someone could make it work there, just need the right brewer.

Someone that can brew some good beer could easily make it work, it's a great location for a taproom.

They did have some sexy copper brewing equipment, though.

How does tin roof not go out of business? I'm pretty sure they put cigarette butts in all their beer

Speaking of that, there is a $1B project underway to renovate MSY. I have already planted a bug in the ear of the lawyer responsible for negotiating all of the vendor contracts to make sure that there are good craft beer options available. Keep an eye on it...

Haha!

Well I guess women can get into the scuzzy business of bribes and kickbacks too.

Never cared for any Covington beer. Not sure if it was the water they used, but every beer I tried had the same off taste.
