Agreed. Maybe it's not as noisy at the bar, but it is in the middle.

Loud compared to a private room at Antoine's? Sure. Or some shithole like rue 127. Yeah. But I don't understand people getting bent out of shape over it. I've been a dozen times and have never not been able to hear someone at my table.

Well just who in this thread were you referring to? I don't see any responses as complaints sans the Ruffinos comment.

I have twins that just turned 2 and my wife and I have taken them out fairly regularly since they were born. In fact a couple times we've eaten out at mondo we've had people compliment us on them. It's all about knowing your children, and knowing their temperament. It's also nice if you have something to keep them entertained.

My 18 month old nephew has been "dining out" just about since he came home from the hospital. His parents eat out a lot and they're not going to get a sitter most of the time. He's been to fine dining places as well as other types of places. So far, he does just fine. He stays in his chair and behaves. They're trying to train him as much as possible, so they can continue to enjoy eating out as a family. If he ever decides to act up or disturb others, they will pack up and go, though.
