The other day I did an online search for Costco cap steaks and came across a story from California that said that Costco was discontinuing them. I recently went to the Baton Rouge Costco and they had a few packs of prime cap steaks out so I purchased some.
While I was there I wanted to buy some plate beef ribs but didn't see any out, so I asked the butchers about them. They said that that corporate had discontinued the beef plate ribs. I asked about the cap steaks, since I had read that story and they said they were going away too.
Sad day, and those special cuts were one of the main reasons I joined Costco.

Yeah, I bought some there last weekend, but when I asked if they were going to be discontinued, they said the cap steaks would be phased out soon, due to a corporate decision.
