When I was young, a ham and cheese poor boy was always cold. Now I see them warm, with melted cheese. Does anyone serve a ham and swiss poor boy that is not served warm?

Most shops usually ask if you want it cold or hot.

Everybody does. Just bring it home and put it in the fridge for a bit.

Please don't insult me.....but I see your point. Will never use the term "Poor Boy" again.

Meh, my favorite po-boy, as a kid, was in Krotz Springs. My dad would go out to Sherburne and site in his rifles, and we'd go with him, or we'd go fishing in the area. When we finished up, we'd go to Chad's Quick Stop in Krotz Springs and i'd always get a ham and cheese poboy, and it was always hot.

I make them with Rouse’s French Bread, Chesisi Ham and Sargento Aged Swiss and some Dijon and Mayo.

So good with a few kettle chips on the side.
