I don’t use the steam wand enough to upgrade. I need to invest in a bottomless portafilter and better tamper. Do you have suggestions for these? I’d like to get a spring loaded tamper.
I’ve also started playing with the water flow valve. I pulled back the water and made the grind more coarse to try and maintain 9 bars. Undershot it this morning and never got to 9 bars. Slowly start moving to a finer ground.

I bought this portafilter and it’s fine. Any 58mm bottomless made to fit an E61 will work. LINK
I got this tamper and have no complaints. Just watch the tamper diameter. It should be > 58.
LINK
I also bought an 18g IMS ridgeless basket. Will have to do some more tinkering once that comes in.

I like French Truck in BR when I'm there.
Love this thread, I usually use Aeropress on the daily, but will also go with pour over if I'm looking for that clean cup o Joe.

You just use it in a drip coffee maker? I feel like grinding the beans fresh is a game changer.
I thought I was bad but a buddy of mine got some kind of roaster and has been roasting his own coffee beans. Wtf.

Turkish Coffee ftw
I want to try this, have heard good things. Do you do it at home? Is it just about the beans/roast? I know they use tiny cups, I might need to downgrade from the 16oz if it's too intense. Probably not though.

I believe the grind is most important on Turkish. Has to be ultra fine, even more so than Espresso.

Community Dark Roast all the way. Hot and black.

How do you like your DF64? I've seen it's branded under a few names. Did you order yours from amazon?
I don't have a grinder, and so far, haven't done expresso, but who knows? I really just want to keep doing drip or french press, but don't want to have to buy a new grinder should I move on to expresso.

Does anyone know where to buy a good Hawaiian Kona? Preferably one that won’t break the bank. Thank you.

16 oz of Turkish Coffee would be a lot.

I’ve got it from Espresso Outlet. It’s great. I don’t have any issues. It does what it’s supposed to do. It’s a beast. I use it for both drip coffee and espresso.

Fresh Roast coffees have Hawaiian Kona. I’ve never had it but they roast to order and send them out. There is also a 20% off sale this weekend on single origin coffee.

Anyone got suggestions for an espresso roast? It can be a blend. I feel like I like the darker roasts better than the light. Light roast feel more like tea than coffee.

Took a break from roasting during cold weather and currently grinding these beans and enjoying them
