Diesels pack a mighty punch.
What's with the people in here saying you don't inhale cigars? Wtf??

What's better for $3 per cigar?

Diesel Unlimiteds are his best IMO.
Sometimes strong is subjective. For example, habano wrappers to me seem "stronger", nut they're usually classified as medium bodied.
Man O' War Ruination is another very, very decent stronger cigar for a reasonable cost.
I get mine from cigar.com, which I believe shares the same warehouse as CI. I smoke at least two cigars daily. What I like about cigar.com is that I'm assigned one sale's rep, and anytime something new comes along that he thinks I'd like, he usually throws a coule in my order to try. Haven't paid for a cutter or lighter in a long, long time either.
I'm going to have a Latitude Zero right now.

Their websites look the same right down to the fonts. If I am more of a 5-6 per month kind, it probably doesn't make any difference which one I go to.
But I guess according to Schwartz, you are a sucker too.

He's right about General and Altadis. But I don't think any of the cigars I mentioned are owned/distributed by them.
It used to be during the boom, when lack of consistency and high priced garbage was more the norm, one could always turn to Fuente cigars. There's no need for Fuente's any longer. I mean if you can get an Opus X at a reasonable price, go for it, but several of the cigars I mentioned are as good as Opus X's, and cost significantly less.
The Camacho Triple Maduro is a great smoke. It used to be better. I believe Davidoff got a hold of Camacho. I'm making part of his point for him kind of.
The two distributors he mentioned have brought us machine made garbage like Macanudo cigars. Tobacco taxes wrecked the local smoke shops in several states. And the tide has turned In Las Vegas people chain smoke cigarettes, but try to light a cigar at the craps table and see how many dirty looks you get.

Nothing, really. Up your price point a little bit, and you can have a great time. On the huge but cheap side: Brickhouse Mighty Mighty
On the just really fricking good and cheap: Tatuaje Series P and Illusione Rothschildes are my two go tos. Less than $6 a piece, and fricking fantastic.

I've never been able to have a consistent burn with Tatuaje.
I don't know if I forget how to light cigar when I smoke them, or if I just have bad luck with Tatuaje.

One of my absolute favorites. I usually keep a few of these in my humidor. They are consistently good smokes.

99% chance that they're fake. Post pics of the band.

Welcome to 95% of General and Altadis products, and the reason I stay away from buying online.
I have been smoking Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur #3, Maduros (not the Black Night) of and on for over 20 years. They are consistently good and I have ordered them online for most of those years with no problems.
What's your opinion of them?

I'm not sure if you are asking Shwartz directly, but I have had 3 Excaliburs over the years. I haven't had a bad one. The #3 is my favorite cut, but then again, I generally like a Toro.

I've never had the maduro, but the Excalibur was one of my favorite first cigars. Decent for the price, but not something I smoke much anymore.

How does this work? Cut them in pieces? Otherwise it sounds a bit yucky.
