Has anyone tried the Perdomo Craft Series? I ordered the stout series to pair them with my dark beer. Looking forward to it.

I haven't. Not really big on the alcohol themed things I've smoked in the past, including the Dram stuff. Seems like it's all a little too forced.

I'm a fan of Padron 3000 and 5000 sticks for every day smokes. If I want something in the mid range, I'll usually go for something from My Father. Just about all of their sticks are great. If I'm buying a special occasion cigar or going for something high end, it's going to be either a Padron 1964 Anniversary or a Liga Privada No 9. Both of those sticks are ridiculous. They've got maduro flavor that's tough to beat.

If you like maduro and want another cheap smoke, give the Brickhouse Mighty Mighty a shot.

Padron 1964 Anniversary

My FIL gave brought a couple of these to the hunting camp over the Christmas break. We broke them out after he downed a nice 11pt. We had the boxed pressed robusto. What a great cigar?!!!!
FTR I like everything Padron makes.

The new Connecticut shade is pretty damn fantastic. I can't afford to smoke them too often and go with the Undercrown Shade as a stand in when I want that profile, but get them when I have some extra cash.

Buddy gave me a Arturo Fuente OpusX for Christmas (Lost City). Hoping to get a chance to smoke it this weekend.

Smoke some of the Opus Xs when they first came out and they knocked me to my knees (very good but very strong). Hoping this is similar.

I am a fan of the Drew Estate and have to agree that Liga Privada #9 and the Kentucky Fired Cured are both great but the latter is awesome with aBourbon Barrel Ale.

Do yourself a Huge favor and go see the guys at Habana Port on Perkins near College. Louis and his brother run the store and have great sticks and will be more than willing and able to make suggestions based on your preferences.

The only place I go these days. Easily the best selection at the best price in town IMO.

I got a buddy who's been trying to get me into scotch lately, that cigar malt reserve sounds enticing but I just saw online its like $130.00/bottle, that's a little too steep for me to start trying on. Any other cheaper suggestions to start off with?

Just to keep you mulling through that long arse thread, I'll give you a few recs.

I like Speyside single malts. Speyside is a region in Scotland. It happens to be where my people are all from. (well in the vicinity) Try Glenlevit, MacAllan, Glenmorangie. IDK your price range, but to me the Glenlevit 15 is second to none. Another personal favorite is the Aberlour.

The hardest part about getting into scotch is not drinking it like a drink or a beer. the results a detrimental.

Scotch are like cigars. You have to find out what you like. There is nothing wrong with liking things other don't and hating things others do.

Glenlevit 15 is excellent. The Glenfiddich 15 is also very good and probably my favorite bang for the buck. Have you tried the new 14-yr bourbon cask matured (light blue box) Glenfiddich? It is wonderful, maybe better than the 15s, IMHO.

Of course Macallan 12 is a staple.

I have tried the Dalmore 12, but never that cigar malt. $130 is above my normal price range, but occasionally.......
