Hey guys, it's been a while. Have any of you ever grilled a steak over a chimney starter? Just did this one, and was pleased with the results.

Yep. Works best if you use a pretty full chimney. You can get flare ups.

Thanks Walt

I tried posting using the img button on my phone, but the post was blank. So, I used the link button.

I've tried it, but didn't care for it. The grate gets too hot and burns the meat where they contact before the rest gets a good, solid crust. I prefer steaks where there is a more uniform crust. That said, I'd still eat yours.

I have done it with a reverse sear. Came out good. I like the crispy outside with rare middle.

Looks great CFA. Reverse seared it first?

I've seared using my chimney several times. Works just fine. WB btw.
