Siegen Lane, Food court (Mall of LA) and Millerville...why so few locations for a mid sized city like Baton Rouge?

LSU union, but I get your point. If somebody owns the right to the territory it can be very hard for another person to open one.

Right, there are so many Jack in the box, McDonald's and Burger King's, just not enough Chick - Fil - A's.

Limited numbers of white baptist kids

The real question is why isnt there a location in Walker where they run rampant so much they have taken over the Popeyes?

Dammit he beat me by a minute.

Also Food court at cortana. 5 locations if you count LSU. I think Lafayette has 2 for comparison, but they may have another or two that I'm unaware of.

They don't have a lot of locations in really any city that I can think of.

BR has plenty of church's and young kids..just seems like this would be Chick fil A's target market, mid sized southern city

FWIW it's not easy to become a franchise owner.

Do they have a ridiculous capital or net worth requirements?

It's more about your personal values. You have to disclose your personal involvement in your community and church, marital status, how many dependents you have.

They often interview people in your family, including your kids, if you want to be a franchise owner. One out of every three franchise owners also attends a specific Christian retreat that Chick Fil A promotes.

Bottom line, you're not operating a location unless you're a God-fearing person with no questionable lifestyle choices.

They have about 1,000 franchise locations

If you meet the Christian criteria, you only have to pay $5,000 to start a franchise. Chick Fil A buys the land and pays for the construction of the new location. In return, you pay them 15% of your sales. Whatever profit is left over, before taxes you have to pay them 50% of that. According to Forbes, the average franchise owner makes about 100k a year.

Franchise fee of $5k is nothing. But 15% of sales (prob double your average fast food franchise) and 50% of profit is stealing.

You also can't have any other business ventures and must operate the store full time. (hands-on)

Good for them. If they said you had to be a minority-gay-lesbian-environmentally correct-pro illegal immigrant, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC would be doing nightly specials about how wonderful you are.

Guess why the service is better at Chick-Fil-A than Popeyes?
