Charcoal grills

I asked on here a while back about gas vs. charcoal grills. I decided on charcoal and I have narrowed down my choices to two. One is from Academy and one from Lowes. Both have adjustbale charcoal grates with a good size cooking area. I am leaning more towards the one from academy, but it is an Outdoor Gourmet and I can't find many reviews on them. Here are the links. Any thoughts on these two?

I can not see the point in spending $300 on a charcoal pit..
eta: unless your putting that $300 towards a big green egg

What's powering the igniter?

I'm partial to Weber, only because that's what the BF swears by. Going by looks, the Academy one is better.

I dont know what the 3 knobs are for. The previous model only had one and it's under the lid. In fact the previous model is nicer all together. Hss stainless all over it instead of plastic.

Doesn't really matter except what makes you happy. Will tell you if you plan on moving the grill around - putting in a shed when you finish, I would avoid the one from Lowes. Those 4" wheels breakdown quickly. IMHO

Those aren't knobs. Those are hooks for utensils. The igniter uses propane to light a torch under the charcoal grate. You put the chimney over the torch for about five minutes and then shut the gas off. The Weber Performer is AWESOME and the reviews on Amazon and all over the Internet back that up.
If you don't want to spend $350 on a charcoal grill, then get the Weber One Touch Gold 22.5 inch. It sells for about $150. But get the Performer if you can swing it.

I like weber too, but I do wish they made more charcoal grills styles than just the kettle look. I want a larger charcoal grill that looks similar to a propane grill and a screw that raises and lowers the height of the coals more easily.

I like the Lowes one, the Academy one looks cheap.
