Taking the wife to dinner tonight and I am thinking I want some char grilled oysters. Where is the best place in Lafayette?

I would do Uncle T’s, Don’s Seafood Hut or Fezzo’s.

Yes, Drago’s is awesome for oysters, but anything else on their menu is subpar. You can get other good items, like a delicious seafood gumbo, from the other three spots.

Still a little bit on the small side but Dons, Half shell or Dragos will all work
hell just drive to Dupuy’s

Drago's oysters are very good. I could eat only that and be very happy

Went to Don's:

Jacked up oysters= legit
Fried crab claws= meh
Grilled stuffed shrimp= bland
stuffed potato= bland
green beans= straight out of a can

If I go back I will the jacked up oysters and jacked up shrimp.

The odd thing is that I thought the jacked up oysters would be spicy. They were just perfect and everything else was bland. I am not a guy that likes spicy food.

I have to tell you (and others):
the fried crab claw appetizer....
way bigger claws at Rachel's than Don's.
Rachel's is the way-better-than Dons on the southside it seems.
