Changing the battery in gas grill

Hi F&D folks. Hope this is the right board to post this on. If not, feel free to request to move it.
Went to fire up the grill yesterday and the electric starter was dead, no clicking, no nothing.
I am hoping it is just in need of a battery change (grill is 6 or 7 years old now). It is a Charbroil Classic, model 463211512.
To change the battery, do I just remove the rubber cover off the push button and unscrew it? Can I do this with the unit still in the grill, or do I have to remove it?
Thanks in advance for advice/tips.

Usually the button you press for the starter just unscrews and it is just a cap. Should be able to take out the battery and replace after that no problem.

Try putting your brand and model into the Google machine. You can usually find the manual pretty easily

I would think the rubber shroud is either part of the cap that you unscrew or it is separate but would probably help you to grip the cap to unscrew. Either way just go out there and try to unscrew it. You won't mess anything up.

Just switch to matches. Way more fun when you let the gas build up for about twenty seconds
