The cast iron thread got me thinking about a cool gift idea for my brother. Has anyone ever put a kit together?
What would you put into a cast iron cleaning/seasoning kit?

A box of lard and materials to start a big fire outside.

Last year I gave a 12" lodge skillet, chainmail scrubber and Cooks Illustrateds "cook it in cast iron" as a gift. It was a hit.

I clean my cast iron with dawn and a sponge.

Yeah i just use hot water and minimal soap and clean with my hand, no sponge
Then heat it back up, coat inside with some veg oil and let cool again

A scraper, some oil, some kosher salt
Rinse out with hot water. Give it a quick dry, then pour in some kosher salt to scrub out out any crap stuck on. Rinse again.
Put on stove on medium heat, spread a thin layer of oil around the inside. Cut heat when dry and oil is cooked on.
Easy peasey
