Those fries are copies of the ones served at J Alexander's. I seem to remember that when CCG first opened years ago, they brought in a number of former JA employees and I think some of the same recipes. Someone correct me if I'm off base here. That has been a long while back.

Rick Volland (owner) was the GM or "head coach" of J Alexanders before a short stint with us at old school DeAngelos helping with the franchise program. While helping DeAngelos, he Opened CCG. That is the connection.

Did you start this thread with the word APPEARS?

Are you basing this on the big For Lease sign that has been there for a few months that has nothing to do with the restaurant?

You better be 100% certain about your information.

I'm a Fleming's fan. And Bonefish. Minus the patrons.

Didn't they lose the building a year ago?

LINK

Did some new owners buy it and have to shut it down?

The restaurant has been open. He was able to restructure his agreement with the bank.

I enjoy Capital City Grill.

Solid food/specials/happy hours.

Have not been there in probably 10 years but used to eat lunch there all the damn time. The Voodoo chicken special was outstanding.

Rick Volland is a good guy. He has good, knowledgeable people around him. For whatever the reason they decided to shut it down, it's for the benefit of the business in the long run.

Maybe back in the day, but no way in hell. They dont even serve the croissants anymore, the GM that was awesome is now gone, and the food was nowhere near as good as when first opened.

Really, tt???? Naw, I'm basing it on four trips passing by at normal evening business hours w/ ZERO cars outside or patrons inside. Oh, and the sign on the f'ing door! That is all.

That's it. Hate to see it close. It was one of our go-to places when we are in town for football, particularly on Friday nights.
