Just bought 30 lbs (a sack) of jumbo, cleaned green peanuts to boil. Never done this before. Any tips or recipes? Btw, I want them Cajun style (with crab boil)

Just like crawfish. On your propane set up. Boil til the insides are soft (1hour ish) then let soak til you like them. (1 to 2 hours).
They freeze exceptionally well in ziplocks.

I'm all for seasoning things well but the only thing boiled peanuts need is salt.

Came out great. Ended up boiling for 2.5 hours and soaking for another 1.5 hours. Used a container of zatarains pro boil, almost all of a medium bottle of concentrate crab boil, and a small bottle of onion and garlic crab boil which is not concentrated. Had to add water a few times. Seemed like they were ready when the insides of the shells held some juice and nuts were soft but not mush. Good stuff.

Speaking of boiled peanuts- I was watching a bit of We Are Marshall and at the beginning the asst coach stops at a rural gas station in the middle of the night in West Virginia. He buys boiled peanuts to which the attendant says " regular on the right, Cajun on the left."

Cajun boiled peanuts in rural West Virginia in 1970? I don't think so.

God I love boiled peanuts, too bad they are LOADED with calories. One handful is like 200 calories and nobody has one handful

I remember eating a bag from a 7/11 and after I finished I looked at the calories and the whole bag was like 1,800. Felt like a huge fatass

I use a yellow sack of crab boil and some salt.
Boil hour or two , soak over night.

You don't want "raw". You want "green". Try the produce stands.

Correct. I use raw for peanut brittle which I just might make today since I have 3 hours before the game.
