Wife and I wanted to try Hot Tails on Sunday and it was closed, so we ended up at Ca C'est Bon a block down the road.
I was pretty impressed
I got the Shrimp Poboy and wife got the shrimp and grits
Both were very good and the price wasn't bad at all

Anyone else been?
How was it?
What do you recommend?

Wife and I were wondering if we just struck it lucky because we've never heard of this place or anything about it

Overall not a great experience, but I'm partially chalking that up to them still being relatively new. Will try it again, just not in a rush to do so

Wife and I went a couple of weeks ago on a Friday for lunch. I ordered the hamburger steak medium, but it was pretty much well done, though still edible. My fries didn't come out until several minutes after.

Wife had a grilled shrimp po-boy which was fine, but nothing amazing. Her fries were room temp

Not much of a crowd but we still had to wait a good bit.

My post after my opening night visit.

probably a bad idea to go on opening night, right?

horrible idea!

They were woefully unprepared.

30-45 minute wait with nowhere to actually wait except in the car.

their method of taking names? a bunch of pieces of paper scattered all over the counter.

food was pretty lame.

mozzarella sticks , frozen and burned and they were "out of marinara sauce".

Seafood gumbo tasted ok but, lukewarm. the crab fingers in the gumbo is a bad idea.

Bacon wrapped filet was overcooked on the outside and raw in the middle.

ribeye was cooked into shoe leather

ettouffee had zero seasoning and was cold

alfredo sauce was ok but the chicken was criminally overcooked

fried shrimp were good but, the accompanying fries were cold and mushy

Bar was not open , no alcohol license

every table in our area sent at least 1 item back. one table just up and left after getting the wrong food a 3rd time

all of this while listening to some guy who couldn't sing playing awful country music WAY to loud and fricking around with his laptop the whole time.

no sign of any sort of management anywhere.

I'm just guessing the owner is also the chef so, didn't have time to manage the staff. Which seems like a bad idea.

Been there twice and had a less than good experience both times. Probably won't go back.

I've heard less than glowing reviews. On the other hand, I've heard great things about Hot Tails.
