Don't know if any of these were mentioned in the thread already but how about a 1950's-60's blast :

Alessi's - corner of Foster & Fla. Blvd. where the Burger King is now.

The Brunswick restaurant & pool hall downtown

The Continental Trailways Bus Station just east of the Old State Capitol (wonderful biscuits)

I remember they used to have a mirror there that was bent to make you look short and fat when you looked at your reflection.

The Mill was on Essen Lane. It was, to my knowledge, the first brewpub in the state. The location was Phillys Chili before that, owned by Ralph and Kaccoo's daughter, Phyllis.

I can barely remember this, but wasn't there a little Crawfish place on Acadian next to where the Shell and TJ Ribs is?

Or did my 5 year old mind completely make up the existence of such a place?

Before LaPedigos Don Pedigo owned Sherwood Gardens - A hole in the wall bar on Florida Blvd and had Free Steaks on Saturdays.

Now what was the name of the bar on Jefferson before it was La Pedigos

Wasn't it something like Daddy-O's or Big Daddy's for a while? Not sure if that was before or after Pedigo's.
