If you love democracy, local sourced ingredients and badass chefs, you won't miss this.
City Council votes tomorrow.
Trucks are on their game right now, I believe Ignatius is slangin' a brisket and kimchi concoction.
Be there or go to George's and get an overlooked burger.

I don't care where it comes from, so long as it tastes good.

Metro Council is horrible. I can't believe our local government would waste their time with something so unnecessary and trivial. But who are we kidding, this metro council is the biggest bunch of idiots that I can remember.
Smokey, you suck.

Yup, and it will pass. Because the guy who brought up the issue, just so happens to own a restaurant that isn't doing as well since the food trucks came along. But of course there is no conflict of interest here.

I'll be hitting up Ignatius and Curbside when I get in.
What times the council convene? I'll like to go listen.

If Smokey was smart (ha), he would welcome the trucks to continue to make the overpass area a destination location akin to certain areas of magazine street. Dave over at Chelsea's understands this. Smokey, well, he can't see past the next day so of course he can't.

Life is good, business is great, and George's sucks dick.
Who goes there besides the old drunk retards that live around the overpass?
The food is gross. The service is turrible, and dust is dripping from the bills nailed to the ceiling.
Yeah, that's where I want to eat.

I like the food at George's and I frequent it often. But I can't stand the owner and think he's a total joke that he was elected again to the metro council and pretty much sums up the entire group in there.

What does the legislation they are trying to pass say? I'll go do some protesting.

They have to get permission to park on property in which they plan to park and sell food.
Can't park in certain places that would impede the flow of traffic, or disrupt it.
A a few other nit picky b.s. ordinances that will just create more red tape for people trying to sell good food.

Basically creating a permission requirement that they already receive in the first place, but now probably requires more formality/bullshite. Same with the restrictions on parking. The whole thing is emblematic of how terrible government can be when they try.

About to head over but I have a dumb question: does Tin Roof sell beer out of the brewery for these events, or does some secret handshake get you a free "sample".
Posted on 4/10/12 at 6:42 pm to DoctorTechnical
They give you two free beers.
Had curbside and wasnt really impressed. I guess it was built up too much on here

Can you name a better burger place in BR?

Don't listen to him
We've already had this fight.
I, on the other hand, had the Repeat Offender and loved it. Though I couldn't pick it up it was so messy .. but that's only a good sign.
