good food but too loud
They have a cute little two-person table around the corner from the fireplace that is in a little hole. Not loud there at all. I understand what you are saying though.

I don't think Juban's is but I've never been to Stroube's.

There's also Louisiana Lagniappe and Juban's but you probably won't be impressed there

I'm not taking that bet but I will put money down on him coming back from wherever he goes and saying it was just "meh."

I liked LL, didn't like Roberto's or Digulio's.

What did you have at DiGiulios?

Also, there is Mansur's on Corporate but I think its a bit pretentious as well.

It's ok Neauxla. It's old-fashioned, good-natured ribbing. That's all.

Osso Bucco I think. It was 3 years ago.

Gotcha.
I always get the butter steak.

I hold restaurant grudges for a pretty long time, as well.

Jubans looks good but I'm looking for something about 1 step down from that. Something between Byronz (which I like) and Jubans.

Mansur's is another good option I guess. Good food. The atmosphere is weird. Kinda stale/nothing.

Shite man, now thats difficult. There may be only two or three places in the entire city that fit into this (sub)category.

What about Le Creole? That place looks promising.

Still think Enoteca Marcello's is what you're looking for here. We've enjoyed the food every time we've been and think it's really underrated.

I know. That's my problem.

Byronz= $12-20
Jubans=$28-40

Where the hell is the $20-30 restaurant?

Never been there or the French Market Bistro. Le Creole gets talked about on here a lot.

Has Ruffino's been mentioned yet?

Nope. I've been and I liked it though.

I think I've decided on Le Creole for dinner. Now I just need to find a bar...sadly I don't think there are any in that area of town.

There's some kick arse gelato and coffee right on the other side of i10. Bars? I've got nothing.

Marcello's: $15-25 per entree
Mansurs: $15-25 per entree
Doe's Eat Place: $25 on up per entree - Never been (the name scares me)
