I thoroughly enjoyed this event last year, but I may have to miss out for this one due to the Bama game on the 3rd.

Show me a better lineup than this at one event - no matter what the hell they are cooking!

I had a garlic and duck liver boudin at this event that would kick the shite out of any boudin I have eaten elsewhere.

I've actually found better boudin in Nola than anywhere in the state. And I've lived in Lafayette & Houma area. It's really one of the gems of our city

Am I supposed to be impressed be a lineup of people from NC and Bama and NY when it comes to boudin? Yea lets cut up from granny smith and do some other shite and throw some rice in it and call it gourmet boudin.. :yak:

I would quality probably 3 people on that list that would even have made traditional boudin for anything other than a special occasion.

I'm not paying money that kind of money to eat Boudin and drink Abita. Especially not on Alabama/LSU weekend.

$75 for non-traditional boudin and Abita Beer? I don't think so.

Its just a bunch of chefs that are going to bastardize something in cajun culture and charge an assload of money because it has their name by it. Cooking via textbook definitions they learned about Boudin via Johnson and Wales. Then they are going to further the belief that NOLA is the city of jambalaya, etouffee, gumbo and now boudin.

BOUDIN and "OT Baller"

makes about as much sense as boudin and New Orleans

The difference is that the boudin festival in lafayette you will have people standing in front of a stage getting down to a guy with an accordian walking around tasting the boudin offerings from places that have been around for centuries doing nothing but cook boudin and have a nice cold beer to wash it down all for a few bucks.

NOLA however you get all dressed up do a line in the bathroom then have some tofu boudin with a apricot glaze. Wash it down with a glass of non box wine or talk about the greatness of Abita IPA and then run to the bathroom to do another line. Then proclaim NOLA the boudin capital of the world.

Seriously look at the pic girl sitting alone at that table with the "my shite dont stink grin"

All of this. Just get your panties out of your arse and show up and have fun.

Maybe most of ya'll would do better at the big brother event that this is tied to where you pay over $1500 a plate to go eat with Emeril and a bunch of his celebrity friends he brings in.

Seriously though, having this on the day of the Bama game is a deal killer.
