Boiling Just Vegetables Like a Crawfish Boil

I have tried quite a few times in the past to boil just corn or potatoes in the style of a crawfish boil, but I can never quite get them to taste right. Does anyone have a good method to boiling vegetables like a crawfish boil.

I do it all the time when making my "Cajun Potato Salad" and will also boil some corn, mushrooms and sausage like that from time to time.
I know what my boil water tastes like when I do crawfish, crabs and shrimp, so I just go by that when boiling just vegetables.
If you can't discern the taste that way, measure when you boil and if the come out kind of bland, you know to add more next time, also the reverse applies if too seasoned.
I really don't measure anything when I cook unless baking.

I’ve never done it, but if I did I would use most of same ingredients. It would all depend on the amount of water.
If on the stove with 4-5 gallons I’d still add onion, garlic and lemon. Then maybe an 1/8 of a bag of your favorite seasoning and a few caps of crab oil.
Then salt it a good bit. Bring to a boil and toss in the potatoes and boil for a good 15 mins. Kill the heat and toss in the corn. Let is soak for 20-30 mins.
To be clear. I’ve never done this but as someone who boils a lot of crawfish this is my instinct if I wanted to try this.

I boil potatoes in a little crab boil quite often. They are missing the crawfish flavor, but quite good.

1/3 cup of powder Zatarains to 1 gallon of water. That's the formula I use to boil my potatoes when I make my seafood potatos.
