Boiling crabs and shrimp together?

I know crabs take about 15 minutes and shrimp 3 minutes, but wondering if anyone has experience with doing this and any tips other than the obvious, add the shrimp once the crabs hit 12 min.
I’m not a crawfish person, so no desire to do those.

Shrimp don’t need to boil. Add them when you cut the fire

this ^^^^^^
boil crabs first, when they are done throw the shrimp in and turn off the fire, stir them around a bit so they get even heat and they will be ready after the soak
i like to soak for 30-45 minutes

If you cook shrimp for 3 minutes you are overcooking them!
Get your pot up to a boil, add crabs. When crabs reach a boil put in a laundry bag with your shrimp for ONE minute. Remove them at one minute and spread them out on the table to cool them and have them stop cooking. Enjoy your easy to peel perfectly cooked shrimp.

During soak we add hot dog weiners and a head of cauliflower . Tried small turnip bottoms last week , delicious . My wife says there is no such thing as a turnip bottom , but there is a turnip green ? I don't argue , just boil and drink beer .
