My wife is from Morgan Shitty and everyone at the table has to have there own special dip concoction. I don't mind it for potatoes but it overpowers the taste of the crawfish imo.

yeah the 5 pounds of salt and red pepper in the water doesn't mess with the flavor at all

Uh I think that's the flavor he's talking about. Why would you even season the water if you're gonna put half assed thousand island dressing on it?

Why would I dip something as special as boiled crawfish in something as mundane as ketchup and mayo?

I'd expect nothing less from the ice-chest shakers.

quote:Yep. That's funny. Anyone eat an unseasoned crawfish (I've eaten 'em raw and sucked the heads...live...but that's another story), they'll never pine for the "pure" taste of crawfish. Ha.

<======== Not an ice chest shaker, don't know many that do.

I've eaten them very mildly seasoned for tourists. I realized I could taste how sweet the crawfish are, which really can be covered up when they're highly seasoned.
Not the same as unseasoned, though.

Mmm, this steak is delicious, can you pass me the ketchup and A1?

I should have said "unseasoned and raw"...as in I was "hypothetically" white gurl wasted and eatin' 'em raw...but that was decades and decades ago...if it happened at all
