Doing a build out for an outdoor kitchen and came across Blaze Grills - then saw they are from Baton Rouge - loving outside the state now, would like to buy something connected to BR

Any reviews? Interested in the built in griddle among others

It was nice to buy local but I was also a little pissed to pay over $200 in taxes. I bought the built in griddle and a few access doors and vents. It’s next to a saltwater pool and I haven’t had any issues. It’s a little pricey but the quality of top notch. No complaints here.

My builder and the salesman at BBQGUYS spoke highly of Blaze and their customer service. Im currently having their griddle, burners, and kamado installed, but haven't tried them yet. Will report back in a couple weeks

I have a blaze built in gas grill and side burner.....no issues so far. I want to say they have a lifetime parts warranty.

I have the griddle with the built in accessories (vents, doors) and I have really enjoyed using it. No issues other than routine cleaning which every griddle requires. Good quality and been running smoothly for 14 months now.

I've had a 5 burner stand alone for 8 years. Holding up well. It was the cheapest high end gas grill I could find. Paid 2k with tax then. Everything else was 2.8k-6k.

BBQGuys and Blaze are basically the same people. The owner of BBQGuys is also an owner of Blaze and Shopper's Choice showroom.

ETA: Owner is former LEO too....if that means anything to you.

I put in a built-in NG 5 burner Blaze and the high output sideburner when we did our outdoor space 3-4 years ago. The full length drip pan is a pain in the arse if you let it get full, but it's still going strong with no issues to burners, ignition, or any parts.

Tip, skip the sear burner. I offered to buy and cook a steak for anyone that could figure out how to get the pin out of the normal burner so I could drop in the sear burner and not one of the 7-8 people that tried could do it. Might be a unique issue with how it was placed in mine, but i have an unused burner sitting in the box in my pantry somewhere.

Second tip, make sure you have enough clearance behind it if you are putting it close to a fence or other potentially flammable surface. We decided after the fact to go double-sided on the fence behind ours and I've had to place ceramic slats behind mine because the heat output singed a part of the fence the first time I let it get up to a high temp.

Final tip, unless they've updated since, consider replacing the standard thermometer with one that gives actual temp readings. The low/medium/high one that came standard is less precise than I'd like.

Understood, I was most impressed that they weren't being typical salesmen and pushing me towards the more expensive high end stuff that they offer. Local customer service also played a big part in my decision.

They’re pushing you to the product they manufacture and likely make higher margins. I’m not saying it’s bad because they make a good produce but may be slightly deceptive.

The owner is good people. Right now, he is hiring another 50ish people for his customer support staff.

Located in BR, but they only do prototyping in BR. Manufacturing is elsewhere.

Overseas? China?? Not sure of those. Pure speculation.

I’m sure they are great products, just don’t make BR your reason for choosing that one if the manufacturing is important to you.
