Biggest turkey you can fry?

Told a friend that I would fry a turkey but forgot to tell him size. He said it was around 16 lbs. I usually do 13 lb max.

you can do a 16. make sure that you only use peanut oil though.

Should I still use the 3-3.5 minutes per lb cook time?

Sure. As long as the pot will hold it and you have enough oil cook it as you would any other. I'm roasting 2 20 lbs and a ham. I'm roasting marrow bones now for an appetizer while I prep other things for tomorrow.

All depends on your fryin pot. Mine says it can do 18 but I have done a 16 before and that was cutting it close
