I've been doing Atkins but I'm allowed to eat meat. For Father's Day as of now I'm thinking of going to Doe's and ordering a 3-lb. sirloin and polishing it off (I completed the Big Texan Challenge in 33 minutes so this wouldn't be a problem). Just wondering if there are any other places I might have overlooked that has a decent-size (22 oz+) steak? I don't want a steak with a bone in it, just a boneless ribeye or strip or sirloin.

That's something else I've considered. Might go for lunch when it's cheaper. My arse is actually not that big (I'm 6'3", and weighed 234 this morning).

Porterhouse for 2 at Ruth's would be a hell of a meal for one

Really don’t want to spend almost $100 for a single steak. Maybe I should just go to Alexander’s Market and ask them to cut me a big-arse ribeye

Flemings is running a Fathers Day special with a giant Tomahawk Ribeye, salad, sides and dessert for $90.

If you aren't against cooking it yourself, you can probably get any cut as big as you want from a decent butcher or grocery.

Just thinking of that makes me want a big ole steak myself.

You sure you’re not fat?

I’d just get a big cut from a butcher and do it myself.

I ate that for lunch a couple weeks ago, add in a bottle of wine and it made for a great nap

It’s the only boneless steak they offer at Doe’s, other than a filet (which is only 11 oz.)

That’s why I’m asking for suggestions

Order a T-bone. You'll get a strip and a filet cooked bone-in.
