Wife brought some of this home and I was skeptical . . . until I tasted it.
This is as good as you can expect from a factory-made product. Just understand that you're not getting a full pound.

Rat,
Does it state anywhere on the package “Certified Cajun” or made with Louisiana crawfish tails ? I could be wrong but am led to believe BEB uses imported crawfish. Their online retail store sells a 14 oz package of crawfish boudin for $3.90. True authentic LA crawfish tail boudin sold in the Lafayette area retails for around $9.99 per 16 ounces. Sadly Donnie Rouse sells Chinese crawfish tails which is a hypocrisy to his claim of promoting , supporting, and selling Louisiana products

I like Tony’s Seafood’s Crawfish Boudin.
I think it’s one of the better.

BS - Rouses doesn't sell EVERY brand of LA crawfish tails. There are over a dozen LA based farms and processors that sell crawfish tail meat. Rouses carries 1-2 brands based on availability and often priced from $15-$18 for a 1-pound bag. They definitely sell 2 brands of Chinese crawfish tails (Bernards and Thibodeaux's) that are priced at $3.99. for 12 ozs. As a retailer, Rouses has the right to sell what they want, and consumers have the right to buy what they want.
Direct quote from corporate ...
“As a local company, we are always very conscious of local businesses, and we’ve always supported them,” says Denise Englade, the director of seafood for Rouses Markets. “I’m not sure customers are always aware of how different we are from, say, Walmart or Winn-Dixie or Fresh Market — any of those companies whose corporate headquarters are elsewhere. What they bring in is always really price-driven and not driven locally. Rouses is always ‘local helping locals,’ and we feel that way very strongly in seafood.”

well the Rouses by me had 4 louisiana sourced brands all in chest freezer by the seafood dept. it was glaring that Bernards and Thibodaux's were not in this freezer with them
so I don't know what else to tell you.
