Father in law wants new thermometer for smoking. Currently has Maverick 732 that he has had for few years. Has prob with probes sometimes. I’ve never had problem with mine. Any suggestions for replacement?

Any of you used Thermo Pro tp-07??

I have the TP-08 and it's been great. Nice being able to monitor the smoker temp as well as the meat temp.

ThermoworksSmoke

For the money this is one of the best. If you want to spend more than $100 than look at some of the other thermoworks options. I’ve had a better experience with this than the other 2 Mavericks that have crapped out.

Also, the smoke is not Bluetooth, but has a radio signal for its remote. B/c of that you can much better range with the remote signal and it works well even if you are in your home.

Plus one on the smoke. Much better build quality and range than Maverick.

I also have I-Grill and have been pretty happy with it. You will have to buy the probe for monitoring the smoking environment separate as my unit only came with meat thermometer.

Only complaint is the blue tooth range is little limited.

ThermaQ wireless. It’s like the smoke mentioned above but you don’t have to pay $90 for a wireless gateway.

I use a Thermopro. On the same level as maverick as far as capabilities and functionalities. It works for me.

If you wanted to buy a really good thermometer go with Thermoworks
