To eat in? What exactly are you looking for? Fried seafood?
As crazy as it sounds, the Chimes in Covington has the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten. They also do excellent char-grilled oysters.

Seafood. Got a few Georgia friends down for the weekend. Took em to Abita brewery as they are big purple haze fans.

Mortons is fairly solid all around. You want boiled, fried, ?

Don't make the mistake of going to Friends for seafood. Morton's is a good option in Madisonville.

Pontchartrain Poboys is good for fried seafood and Poboys. It is a great neiborhood joint. Not open on weekends though.

You really can't go wrong with Acme Oyster House.

Except they aren't great and service asian shite fish instead of catfish.

I tried Orlandos in Madisonville for the first time about a month ago. Much better than Mortons for that area, however, Mortons has a wonderful atmosphere. Food isn't bad there so if they are out of tonwers, I'd do Mortons due to the views.
