Looking for a good date spot in Lake Charles.

Preferably a steak or Italian restaurant.

TIA

La truffe is by far the best restaurant in LC but 121 artisan bistro is a good date spot for the chuck.

Seems like all the rage in LC is Darrel's.

Might want to try the Darrel's Special, a hybrid po-sammich.

It's a great sandwich, good for a beer with your friends, or a hangover; it's not the best restaurant in LC though.

Do either of these places have a bar area that would be comfy for a single diner?

I think I will be spending a few nights in the area for work soon and I like exploring different restaurants. Last time I went to La Truffe Sauvage and it was a little ackward being a single in that dining room.
Food was damn good though.

Both do and are more casual than La Truffe.

You can't go wrong with La Truffe, Mazen's, or 121. La Truffe is the clear #1 though.

Mazen's >>>> 121

Tony's is good Italian and not expensive.

Depends on what you're in the mood for. I've definitely spent way more money at Mazen's, but 121 has not disappointed me in the least.
