Idk but boudin, sausage, chicken (grilled or fried), roast beef w/ brown gravy are my favorite. The worst one I ever had was in new Orleans this past weekend. It was a seafood restaurant by a marina. Got a cheeseburger poboy. I liked it but it wasn't anything special. Home made poboys are where it's at. My fiancé used to make me a poboy every day for lunch. And a different poboy for each day. Home made boudin poboy ftmfw.

(not in Nola, but I had the best oyster po' boy at Bear's)

I'm a North Shore native. Have been to all the famous N.O. places and my favorite all-time Po-Boy is the dressed hamburger PB at Bears in downtown Covington.........

If you're getting hamburger poboys, you're doing it wrong.

I don't know, its a personal opinion of course. I think of hamburgers as going on buns and seafood and specific meat items (meatball, roast beef, etc) as going on poboys. I just know that, in my 25 years of life, I have never gotten a hamburger or grilled chicken poboy in my life. I didn't even know they existed until my roommate, who is from St Francisville, got one a few months ago. It just seems nonsensical to me, if I wanted a hamburger, I'd get a hamburger.

Well, meatballs belong in spaghetti

As far as hamburger poboys, all you are really doing is upgrading the bread. Nothing crazy.

Are regular hamburgers good? Yep.

Does Liedenhiemer french bread destroy all other breads? Yep.

Combine the two and you got a damn fine concoction, in my opinion. Dress it up and you're good to go.

I mean shite.. people put french fries, boudin, soft shell crabs, hot sausage etc on poboys

A good french bread makes anything you put on it awesome.

All those other things (meatball being exception, and to be honest, I don't know that I've ever had one other than at R&Os) I associate as unique La food. Hamburgers I don't. I guess that's where my thought process comes from.
