If we are getting off the New Orleans angle.
I can't say I ever bought a great Boudin in New Orleans.

After plenty of exhaustive research and trying most every one out there.

My top 4

1)Nunu's Grocery - Youngsville
2A) Best Stop
2B) Don's
3) Ronnies -BR

Best stop and Don's are very differant flavor but both are very good.

Tough job but someones got to do it.

Is that the place on the south side of the road at the foot of the bridge? I thought it had a harder name to pronounce. A different place?

I agree...I was raised around this area. I live in Texas now - but the best place is in Scott, La at Best STop. The other place - if it is still open is a place called Mouton's in Lafayette. It's worth the trip.

If you're cheering for Bama, you are unworthy of good boudin.

I don't really know I just noticed it on their web site. Cajun Specialty Meats

I will be bringing a cooler to New Orleans to stock up on boudin. What are some good dipping sauces?

If I'm a snob of anything, it's boudin. Love that shite.

And FTR, I never dip boudin in anything. Eating it either straight from the stores container or straight from the grill.

Just had it for the first time this weekend. It was pretty awesome. I know it doesn't answer op's question, but they do ship.
