Brisket is good I agree. The rest of the food is meh. Nola and Shreveport superior runs circles around the BR one.
The food at both the BR and NO locations sucks but everyone I've ever known from Shreveport jerks it to Superior Grill.

It really is much better. Best queso I've ever had. They need to standardize.

For messican, we only go to either Carlos' or La Tiendita (here once a week)

Coyote Blues is ok, better than most n BR. La Carreta is better tex-mex than say, Las Palmas/Casa LaVida/etc.... But their salsa and fajitas suck. Superior in BR is inferior to Shreveports, but they do have some good items on the menu. La Reyna is good, but no messican

I loveee Mis Padres over by Perkins Rowe. Their tortillas rival Ninfas.

This.

Whenever I'd go, I was literally the only person in that place. Very strange, because I remember the Chalmette one always being PACKED. Also, I went to the Grand Opening of the one in Metairie in like 2008-2009, and it was PACKED.

I miss Panchos...

I don't think most of ya'll know what Mexican food actually is. Most everything mentioned has been Tex-Mex. I love me some Tex-Mex but it's not the same as Mexican food.

No doubt that La Tiendita is the best TRUE Mexican. I don't know anyone who has tried it and doesn't like it, except the Taco Bell/Tex-Mexers that don't know any better.

As for Pancho's, I admit that I used to go to the one on Florida about once a year. I always regretted it afterwards, because it felt like I had just swallowed a lead weight when I was done eating. It was usually crowded when I went.

When Pancho's on Siegen opened, it was like a religious event. There was a line out the door and an hour-long wait. The hype died down quickly.

As if its not possible to prefer Tex-Mex to authentic mexican.

People on this board also raved about that shithole that finally closed on Sherwood. Taco Burritto express. The only place that has given me food poising in my 35 years. All for a burritto that didnt taste good. They were so authentic they must have imported their water.
