Naw, i read the previous posts, just didn't see you mention El Paste Dorado, thats all. Was wondering if you had been there, since it seems you're well traveled when it comes to local places that specialize in Latin Cuisine.

I judge a Latin restaurant's authenticity by how many kids are running around the dining area
Meh.
I understand it's just part of the place but when we're the only people in there, it's awkward..
The night we went, there was not only their own kids but friends with kids as well. It was honestly flat out awkward.

I gotta say, I'm disappointed in you here. I thought you knew Mexican food better than that. That place sucks arse. Seriously might be the worst Mexican I've had in Baton Rouge.
+1
Run by Middle Easterners, and it should be Mis Padres.

The original game plan was to move Los Gallos to a new building that they were going to buy, instead of lease. The food was good, but the service went downhill due to a death in their family.
Didn't know that, thanks for the info.

Taco Bell is of course the correct answer. That Volcano Taco is money.

You should have known going in that eating that massive behemoth was going to cause serious distress.
But I bet you loved it going down.

My one visit to Rio Grande that's what I got. Not impressed.
A Mexican restaurant is often judged by the quality of its salsa.

TexMex= They are either good, or terrible. None have ever stood out to me.
Mex= Different ball game. I like Taco and Burrito Express.
La Reyna is one of the most authentic foreign places in town. They and the Himalayas.
