There are only a couple of real Greek restaurants in NOLA!
Acropolis on Veterans or uptown
The simple geek. Downtown
Everything else is Lebanese/ middle eastern food:
Lebanon
Albasha
Byblos
The rest...
If you look on a map to different parts of the world for two different types of food styles.
Greek- euopean
Lebanese- middle eastern
Those who say Lebanese food is Greek food is like saying Cajun food And creole food is the same or that tomato’s are good in Cajun Jambalaya.

Yes it is the best food. I have learned to order specials as the menu is standard.

Idk what Lebanon's does to their hummus but it's the best I've ever had

Probably not what you are looking for but Ali Baba on St. Peter after bar hopping down Bourbon as well as a slice of pizza next dooris heavenly.

I’m a big fan of Shawarma on the go here, great food and really nice family that runs the place. Lebanon is great as well if you’re looking to dine in.
Kebab on St. Claude in Bywater has the best gyro I’ve ever tried but it’s been a really long time since I’ve last been.

Not exactly responsive but Istanbul Cafe (hole in the wall take out) on Royal right off of Canal has the best gyros I've ever had in my life. Worth a try.

RockRose in the CBD looks good, but I’m not sure if they’re open or if they will reopen.

Shawarma on the Go is one of the most underrated gems in the entire city

Mona’s on Bank or Frenchman. Not fancy, but the lamb served over hummus is my go to comfort meal.

I have eaten there more than half a dozen times and have been underwhelmed to disgusted each time. EatingNola hyped the shite out of that place when they were giving him free lunch.

What are the differences?

In short. One is middle eastern and one is Mediterranean. Spices are different.

There is a ton of overlap though, right?
Like Turkish, Israeli, etc.
