I hit up a taco fest in San Diego a few years back during a Saints away game and I think I fell in love with Baja fish tacos. I've made them at home and they were awesome but when that craving hits I don't always feel like dealing with the grocery or clean up. So, any recommendations for the best fried Baja fish tacos around? Preferably Mandeville, Madisonville, Covington area.

taqueria carona is my go to in Metairie.

You’re best bet is probably going to be Habenero’s. I havnt been to Pink Agave yet…maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Bay St Louis may be too far away for you but when the weather is nice I like to sit outside on the deck at the Blind Tiger overlooking the water and having drinks and a plate of mahi mahi tacos. I am not saying that is a great gourmet restaurant but we like to hang out there.

Their shrimp tacos are usually fried, but upon request they’ll griddle/blacken them…that makes for a strong taco as well.

Sea Level, over in the Pass, makes s damn fine shrimp or Mahi taco as well.
