I had the enchiladas at Las Cruces last week and thought they were very good.

I hope they were for what you paid. Did I read the online menu correctly? 2 soft tacos for $16!?!(with protein) I guess I haven’t eaten TexMex in a while to realize how expensive it’s become. IIRC it was about $12 last time I ate at Don Jose’s, but they also don’t advertise that the menu was designed by someone I’ve never heard of like Las Cruces does.

It’s old metairies version of velvet cactus. They are going to eat it up and not blink at the crazy prices

It's a weird space, though. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm curious to see how much it really catches on. Just from the pics online, place looks like shite compared to say the Velvet Cactus - which is shite as far as food, of course, but it looks nice.

Nah. I only eat at Shipleys, blue line or bears in that area. I don’t come into Metairie much

This is a good description. I went once and the food was pretty average.

Enjoyed that place Habanero's that just opened next to Lakeside more.
