Houston crawfish.....yum.

I don't understand how Texas crawfish still has this stigma. Everyone says they season the outside and it taste terrible, the restaurants have to know this is a bad way of doing it, yet they still do it.
I don't understand how they still frick up crawfish out there, especially with the amount of Louisiana natives that live in the area.

Really, it's bad enough having spices on your fingers that were inside the crawfish. Who wants to double that by putting pointless spices on the outside?

You'll never be satisfied around here, but woodrows heights (formerly Mardi gras grill), crawfish connection, and this little place up in Humble are the best I've had. And by best, I mean they seem to season the water and put the least amount of "dust" when compared to others.
Avoid Baytown Seafood crawfish like the plague. I can't describe why or how bad these are. They come covered in a sauce that tastes like oranges or something.

I went to the LSU crawfish boil last year, and they did that shite. A buddy and me were talking about it and one of the even organizers overheard and told us that they weren't supposed to do that and she would stop it immediately.
At big Woodrow?
I didn't go, but I thought they changed their crawfish just for the alumni association.

I guess I never really thought about the fact that I only go to crawfish boils done by people that are from Louisiana.

And the only restaurant I've gone to with the intention of ordering crawfish does their crawfish once a week and it's done by a guy from Hahnville.

I think you may be right. Last year was back at Big Woodrows but this year they are having it back at Wild West I believe.

When is the LSU boil this year?
I went when it was at the place where parking sucked, and you walked in the back right near where they were boiling. Can't remember the name. Seems like BW would be roomier.

April 13th at Wild West. WW has a huge parking lot and is massive inside. I don't remember it being overly crowded when they had it there. I will be there though.
