Thanks for this thread. Did not think Oak Grove would be on Amazon. Have some coming my way.

I've been using Oak Grove for as long as I can remember like at least 25+ years? It's NEVER not right. I often use chicken broth in place of the water and add sausage, onions, bell pepper .. man it's good stuff.

Here you go in the event you aren't able to find it

Add your own onions, sausage and chicken and you’re good to go. Half water and half low sodium chicken broth for the liquid.

I do something very similar. When in the area, I stop by Ideal Market to get one of their whole grilled chickens and use it for the jambalaya.

I always make my own, so I’m not going to be able to help anyone pick from the “best from a box” category.

I'm about 50/50.

I'm home on a Sunday with a few hours to spare and the kids want a jambalaya I'll make one from scratch.

Midweek kids have practice, meeting, wifes working late we all running around. I'll use Oak Grove.

Not everyone has a few hours to cook a jambalaya everytime.

Cajun Fry is good. We order it by the case and share with family. Jazz it up with veg.
