Best boiled crawfish in South Louisiana?

We are getting closer to the heart of the season, so I figured I would get peoples opinions on where they think the best crawfish is.
As for me, I think Sammys is the most consistent and best in Baton Rouge. I have had better at a couple of places before, but then have returned to those places and they were hit or miss. At Sammys, its the same every time.
The best I have had is at Hawks in Rayne.
I've heard great things about crawfish town usa and deanies respectfully, but haven't had them before.
So what are some crawfish gems out there?

I think Richard's in Abbeville is the best. Stop at Maurice City Bar for a beer on the way.

Cajun claws in Abbeville.

I like the ones that come out of my back yard.

Comparing boiled crawfish from Baton Rouge to South La(laff, Breaux bridge, rayne, abbeville) is like comparing Baton Rouge Chefs to New Orleans chefs. Sammys does a good job but it just dosent compare to Richards and Cajun Claws.

This is the only correct answer. (well I've never had them from your yard, but you get it)
I like my crawfish hella spicy, and I can't find that anywhere around here. When you boil it yourself, you make em like you like em.

Don't agree with this at all.
But anyway, LA Boilers and Lil Kat's (if still open)

Not coming out of my back yard...
I have to go with the "Village Grocery".
Lou does a great job...only problem, they are best HOT.

Richards has been around for ummmmmm about 200 years. They're not some new "nice" touristy place to eat crawfish. It's an old building, nothing fancy. The way they season them is perfect, and don't expect to get them served with seasoning sprinkled all over them. I haven't been a few years but they also don't have the choices like a lot of new places have for "mild, hot, extra hot, even more extra hot, and then the stupid other names for hot". You get boiled crawfish the way it was meant to be.

that's the correct answer but since it's in BFE most have never had them
eta: it's in robert's cove, not rayne

Had anybody had the ones at Lakeside Daiquri? They have a deal in bargainbee and I was wanting to try then out.

I like Cajun Claws and Richards better than Hawks. I might put Boiling point and Guiding Star in New Iberia ahead of Hawks also

"Cooked to perfection,huh?"
Just teasing and I appreciate the response, but what makes these the best for your taste...the "way it was meant to be." Not trying to be an arse, but I'm always looking to improve what I do and unfortunately, I won't be there anytime soon.

I may be bias since I've been eating at hawks since the 80s but I don't think any of those are even close. Do they even use purged crawfish?

Dwights in Lafayette deserves to be right there with Richards and Cajun Claws as does Crawfish Time and The Crawfish Pot
