FINALLY found a place after close to 20 years up here in Shreveport/Bossier that does crawfish the way I grew up eating them in S. Louisiana. Very good size and the meat actually had some kick to it and I didn't have to wipe ANY powder/seasoning off my hands after I ate. $3.49/pound is one of the better prices I've seen here.

Good to know. I shop there sometimes but have not tried their crawfish. That's a good price.

Bergeron's and Maxwell's are the only 2 places in Shreveport/Bossier with good andouille. The stuff in the supermarkets is horrible.

Same with boudin.

If I am forced to buy it at the grocery store, "DJ's" brand is the only edible option I have found.

Is this at the Shreveport location or the one on Benton Rd. in Bossier City?

Picked mine up from the bossier store...although they're owned by the same family. Pop runs the Shreveport store and the son runs the bossier store.

Had Bergeron's a couple weeks ago for a boil in Shreveport with about 25 people there and they all commented on how much they loved them. The crawfish were huge too. The folks that own it are also very nice people. Highly recommend.

To add to my post above. Someone also brought the andouille sausage dip from Maxwell's and it was gone in about 3 minutes. Stuff id delicious.
