It's that time again to "discuss" everyone's favorite brewery.

After drinking a couple of my 4 pack of Bloom, what is everyone's opinion of the beer. Personally, it's ok, but is not great by any means.

1) Not much aroma at all. Seems almost as if they let too much aroma escape.
2) As goes aroma, so does flavor. Not getting much flavor out of the beer.
3) Carbonation - I may be the only one, but i get a carbonic bite on most of their beers. Only exceptions have been Ghost, Reve, and DDH Envie Strata.

I found DDH Envie Strata to be much better and didn't even bother with Nova Vert this release, due to my disappointment in past releases.

So what are your thoughts? And save the homerism for Parish, if they leave the state because of a less than glowing review of their beer, so be it. They make some good beers, but whatever they are bottling outside of a couple, has fallen off.

Andrew hasn’t checked out. He’s just on cruise control right now.

Once Parish’s move to Houston is completely done, he’ll step up his game again to compete against Brash and Copperhead.

Bloom hasn't been anything like the original batch in a while.

I had one of these recent ones. Same as it ever as.

Where do you think he's going to set up shop? Could see him challenge Eureka for dominance in the Heights.

If Andy moves to Houston he will leave behind a Ghost and I’m guessing not many around here will have an Envie for his Bloom.

I quit drinking beer over a year ago but I liked Bloom then. Last beers I had was 2 Blooms and 2 Jucifier so I went out on a high note.

Nope. Fort Bend County, Sugar Land/Missouri City area is the front runner.

Had the 6/3 bottle date of Bloom because I happened to be in town on only that day. Every time I'm back in Louisiana I stock up with the Parish essentials. I picked up some bloom because it was so fresh and I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was overly carbonated at all. It's not as knock your socks off as some of their others, but I think it's above par in the slurry of craft brewery selection. Being in a brewery rich part of the country is spoiling me, but Parish and LA31 will always be my go to favorites.

Copperhead, B52 and Spindletap all up there might make it a bit much to add Parish.

Spindletap
not close to copperhead and spindletap

Spring, woodlands, Tomball would do well to have a nearby brewery

Look, son, the fact remains that Parish ain’t relocating to Montomgery County. It’s Fort Bend or bust.

Now if you want to continue arguing with me, there’s three Sonics all within about 3 miles of my house, if you know what I mean.
