Im going to meet a few people and I've never been. I know the beer Gods can give me a few to try since I backed out of the craft beer movement last year.

And can I buy a growler there and take with me? Should I?

And one more, what is the size of the Racer Five bottle called and I've noticed they are hard to find now?

a 22 oz bottle is called a bomber. From what I understand we won't be getting anymore.

Deus is good but expensive. Go for something on tap. I can't really give you any recs BC I usually take 10-20 minutes browsing through the menu before I can figure out what to order.

Good. I'll find something. I heard they weren't shipping to LA anymore. Found two Hop Rod Ryes at Calandros a couple weeks ago and bought them. Guy said he thought that was it.

What about the growler? Can't I buy one there and they will fill up?

Big 22oz bottles are called bombers in the beer world.

750ml bottles are called what they are as far as I'm concerned.

I'd get something of theirs on draft. Probably the Oyster stout or maybe a Brooklyn Blast.

I'm sure they will. Up to you on whether or not it's cost effective.

Standard growler is 64 oz.

Some taps over there (and its been awhile so someone who knows more please chime in) are $6-10/16 oz draft. They will usually give you a deal on $/oz though (although I've never filled one at cove...or ever)

Really aggravates me that they don't do 4 oz pours of all the beers available.

I think I'll be heading there at some point this weekend too. Not sure if I'll be drinking bourbon or beer. Only been once before and it took me 15 minutes to decide what I wanted.
Great place though

I asked the bartender to give me a random beer and she gave me Kuputzer (sp?) and it was damn good

Just for fun, I checked the Cove's website, mainly to see the operating hours. Decided to see what they had listed on their beer list. They need to take that list down.

Pourquoi?

I haven't seen the list. Is it unreadable or something?

I went on Saturday and Wednesday. Would be nice if they kept an up to date list of taps and bottles on the website so you can go in with a plan

Yeah. Even their menu at the bar is outdated.

A plan is a necessity.
