I picked up a couple this morning at the grocery store and just looking for some recipe ideas. TIA
These aren't them but this is what beef soup bones look like:

For me, that’s the beginning of vegetable beef soup.

Same here...save all your left over juices and freeze them and it makes a great flavorful soup...

Every time we see beef shank on sale we always buy a bunch. Put about 3 of them in the soup pot along with fridge veggies needing cooking and wife makes her amazing fridge veggy soup. After the shanks boil for 3 or 4 hours we fish em out and chop the tender meat up and replace it with the bones back in the soup.

I ended up taking everyone's advice and made a beef vegetable soup.
I seasoned them real well and dredged them in a little flour, threw into the magnalite with some oil and seared on all sides. I took them out and deglazed with some red wine and onions.
Then I added the meat back to the pot along with potatoes, carrots, corn, peas, green beans, tomatoes, fresh thyme, garlic, worcestershire, a can of beer, beef broth, salt, pepper, chili powder, and some cavenders.
I brought it to a rolling boil, then reduced heat to a simmer and let sit uncovered on the stove for about 3 hours. It could have gone a little longer but it was late and I was hungry.
It turned out really well. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'll post some pictures later today
