I know nothing about this place. However, when I hear someone complain about "portions" I usually think that person just needs to hit up the nearest all you can eat buffet.

Hope it goes up. I gave him two New Orleans restaurants to add a long time ago and he ignored me on the Help page. They still aren't there so I figure he's not tending to it. He also moved it from it's previous prominent postion at the top of the page.

Post on the Help Board. Maybe he'll respond. I'm sure he's been busy deleting, anchoring and banning over the game weekend in addition to dealing with pick 'em, but I get the feeling it's not much of a pet any longer.

Nice review.
I like the place. One of the better lunch spots in town, imo.
Portions? People eat too much. This coming from someone that eats alot...... There is a reason the south has such a high obesity rate. I find them just fine...

Had lunch at Beausoleil Friday, and it was delicious as always. That was my 4th meal there.
Got the mussels, some drinks, the duck confit salad, mac and cheese, and the seared tuna.
I've been there for drinks only a few times. A friend of mine goes for drinks a few times a week. They have a great bar.
It's not on the menu anymore, but they stil have their roasted beet salad and it's my FAVORITE.
I've had these on almost every visit. I am obsessed with mussels though. I love shellfish of all kinds. Beausoleil has my favorite mussels .. along with Luke in NOLA.
Is it bigger now? Was delicious but very small when I had it. I see your photo, but hard to tell the size in relation to anything.

Ah, I see portions have already been brought up. The problem may have been corrected, but believe me.. the portions were very small at one point.
I'm certainly far from large or a heavy eater. And I'm aware of places where the food is higher quality and smaller portions, but this was a bit much. That being said, I haven't had a problem since that time.
